With recent events surrounding Coronavirus in the last few weeks, there’s been an understandable uptick in public anxiety— but unfortunately racism and xenophobia towards Chinese and Asian communities have seen an increase as well. 😒 I say this not to downplay the unending racism that black and brown people have to deal with on the daily, because this is the reality many of my friends face— but I’m here to say that racism in general is NOT OK. So let’s do better. 🤙🏼
It’s important during these uncertain times that we stay safe, but also informed. Spreading misinformation is no help to anyone, and we must all do our part to support our neighbors and community members. A lot of folks are hurting right now and the Seattle economy is being hit hard. COVID-19 isn’t just affecting our physical and mental health, it’s affecting our livelihoods. If you are one of those fortunate enough to be getting paid to work from home, and you are financially able, please do your part to support your local community and businesses. Not to mention, let’s do our best to support all the artists, service industry workers and other freelancers who depend on gigs to pay their bills who are having clients cancel. It’s getting wild out here. 😅
I will do my best to share financial support resources for the local community as I come across them. We’re all in this together y’all, please stay healthy and safe. 🙏🏼❤️
I know I haven’t done a video in a while, but things have been quite busy.
I did want to get this post up though, because I have had a lot of time for reflection the past few weeks and I wanted to share what I have been thinking about and going through. Turning 21 is a huge milestone, and being a young mom on top of that comes with its own set of challenges and feelings.
Thanks for watching, and hope you enjoy!

(I am quite aware that I use a lot of “filler” words when I ramble and get nervous, so I’m sorry that I say “you know” like a million times in this video.)
[Update] …. Just a little photo from the night. Needless to say, I had a great time.
A viewer recently requested that I start doing more personal blogs, so this is my little schpeel on that…
I’ve also had a very rare opportunity to get some time to myself, REAL time to myself, apart from the baby. So I wanted to share my feelings on that as well.
I’m sorry, I ramble.
So a while back, I had said in an earlier post that I would do some videos about my pregnancy experience since I hadn’t really chronicled it. Here is my first video, my reflections on my first trimester. Like I have mentioned before, it was a strange transitional time in my life and it can sometimes be difficult to talk about; however, I know that it is good for me to be able to have a forum to vent and share my thoughts and feelings.
Here is my video, I know I seem very tired (because I am) and maybe a little depressed, but only because these things are hard to talk about.
Thanks for watching! Any comments or questions, please feel free to send them my way.
