Sofia 365: Day 240

Day 240: 11.6.12

Tuesday was a roller coaster of a day.
After breakfast, I decided to take Sofie out for a walk around the city since she needed a new pair of boots for winter.
We had a great time doing a little window shopping downtown, and walking to Pike Place market.

After buying some snacks and produce down at the market; Sofie and I headed back home. She fell asleep half-way back while I was at Old Navy, and I finally found a cute pair of boots for her. I walked all the way back up the hill back home (I got quite a bit of exercise that day), and just barely beat the rain.

Once we got back home, I was pretty pooped, but once Sofie woke up she was begging to go back outside again.

That, however, was short lived because soon after Sofie became very sick and started puking up again.

Not exactly fun to be puked on for the third time in a matter of a week and a half, but poor girl was not feeling well. She couldn’t keep down anything that I gave her, so she eventually just fell asleep early without taking a bath. I let Sofie sleep it off for the rest of the night and watched the election coverage with Jason.

Capitol Hill was crazy that night too, I really can’t believe Sofie slept through all the cars honking, people yelling, helicopters and fireworks going off. It seemed like everybody in the neighborhood was out partying.

That’s okay though, because I was still pretty tired from walking around earlier that day. I stayed up for a bit trying to catch up on some work, but eventually crashed.

Here’s the poor little sick baby, shortly before she fell asleep.

Sofia 365: Day 135

Day 135: 7.23.12

I had a short job on Monday doing makeup for a portrait session in Seattle, and afterwards headed down to my parents house to get Sofie and stay the night there.
The weather was a little gloomier and not so sunny out, but it was so humid it hardly made any difference… to my hair.

I got to my parents house just in time for dinner, I was so excited to see Sofie, but I was also pretty hungry!

Don’t those purple pants look great on her?

Purple Pants!

Sofia 365: Day 134

Day 134: 7.22.12

Last Sunday was another busy work day, not only did I have a wedding in the morning, but I was also meeting with a bride for a trial session in the afternoon!
After working hard and playing hard all weekend, all I wanted to do Sunday night was just crash and sleep. A quiet night at home was exactly what I needed.

Looked like Sofie had another good day with my parents; I know they had bought her a little mini pool, not sure if they had used it, but the weather was certainly opportune!

I love her little mismatched outfit, stripes and polka dots, classic!

Sofia 365: Day 133

Day 133: 7.21.12

Yikes! It’s been over a week since I posted last. Time to blast through these photos and catch up to the present!

Sofie was over at my parent’s house all last weekend as I was working, and also spending my evenings enjoying some time at the Capitol Hill Block Party with Jason.

Saturday was a beautiful day out, wish I was able to spend some more time outside, but after having a bit of a stressful morning doing hair and makeup for a wedding it was nice to unwind a bit and enjoy my night out with Jason and some good friends. Heard some good music, caught up with old friends, and got quite a good amount of socializing in, which rarely happens in this household!

Sofie was reportedly causing a little trouble at my parent’s house, not wanting to pose for photos and what not, but I still think they got a pretty decent one. What a colorful shirt!

Sofia 365: Day 132

Day 132: 7.20.12

Today I met with my mom downtown to drop Sofie off with her for the weekend. I have another busy weekend of work and also hoping for a bit of fun and relaxation at the Capitol Hill Block Party. Work hard all day, then play at night!
My mom, Sofie and I went out for lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, we were stuffed full of food, and did a little shopping downtown.
Afterwards I dropped my mom and Sofie off at the ferry and headed home to eat dinner and get ready to head out for some music with Jason.

Here’s Sofie’s photo from this morning before we headed out, she had gotten into my mail and was attracted to the pink shiny envelope, of course.

“You’ve Got Mail”

Sofia 365: Day 131

Day 131: 7.19.12

Yesterday was more or less an eventful day.

I heard on the radio that Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis were going to be in town to promote their new movie The Campaign. The rumor was that they’d be at a coffee shop in Pike Place Market to serve coffee for a short time in the afternoon.

I thought it might be a cool thing to check out with Sofie, so decided that I’d take her out that afternoon to Seattle. The weather had cleared at that point and it was actually pretty nice out. I walked down from my beauty studio with an acquaintance from my film projects that actually lives in the building as well. By the time we got to the market it was packed! There was no chance of getting through the crowds to see anything, it was so hot, I actually saw somebody faint. Sofie wasn’t a fan of the crowds either, she was   pretty upset so we got out before the celebs even arrived.

I was hoping to catch even a glimpse, but the only hint of their arrival and departure were cheers from the crowd. Apparently they didn’t even stay to serve coffee like it was said, they breezed in and out within a few minutes.

Well, in the very least, it was a nice day for a walk…

The Crazy Crowds.

Here’s Sofie’s photo from after we went home, cool drinks and food in her belly, and much happier.

Hot Babe.

Sofia 365: Day 25

Day 25: 4.4.12

Aaand, we’re back on track!

Today was my first day on set doing makeup for a short film, titled “Tragically Oliver”, directed by my good friend Autumn Perrotta. Since we have such early call times, Sofia is staying at my mother’s through Saturday. I certainly miss her, but that’s what Skype is for! It’s so nice to still be able to see her smiling face, even if I can’t hug her.

In the mean time, I’m trying to get as much work done as possible, while I can!

I took this picture right before we were about to leave to meet my mom for lunch at Pike Place yesterday, after that, Sofia and I parted ways while I drove back to Renton, and she hopped on a ferry with my mom to Poulsbo. She is growing up so fast!

Wistfully staring off into the distance...
